“They play with a sharp attack, a rhythmic punch and a new joy in living…a new golden age might be here.”
      — The Washington Post, April 15, 2012

The Academy of St Martin in the Fields—one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world—is renowned for a polished and refined sound, rooted in outstanding musicianship. In 1993, the Academy became the first and only orchestra to be awarded the Queen’s Award for Export.

This U.S. tour features 29 year old cellist Alisa Weilerstein, winner of both a 2011 MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant and Israeli pianist Inon Barnatan, 2009 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient who is hailed by The New Yorker as “a pianist of uncommon sensitivity.”
