Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring)
For more than a half-century, The Joffrey Ballet has been committed to taking world-class, artistically vibrant work to a broad and varied audience. The company will perform their reconstruction of Le Sacre du Printemps (The Rite of Spring) in honor of the piece’s 100th Anniversary. Their recreation was painstakingly researched to provide the most authentic representations of Vaslav Nijinsky’s choreography and Nikolai Roerich’s scenery and costumes.

Set to the classic Igor Stravinsky score, The Rite of Spring stands as one of the most magnificent musical and dance masterpieces of the twentieth century. During their performance at the Phil, The Joffrey Ballet will also perform two other ground-breaking works, Age of Innocence and After the Rain.*
