Their Music and Their Times

CARLOS RAFAEL RIVERA, of Cuban – Guatemalan descent, is Composer–In– Residence with the Miami Symphony Orchestra and a faculty member at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. His music has been performed by some of the world's most prominent artists and ensembles, including Arturo Sandoval, Chanticleer and the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. He has been commissioned by the Simon Bolivar Youth Symphony, the Miami Symphony Orchestra and the American Wind Symphony.
Rivera’s fascinating lectures will survey the revolutionary music, lyrics, recordings, production techniques, social ramifications and impact of the Beatles. An album–by–album study will also relate to important historical events, audio interviews, recordings and video presentations.
