From the Inside Out
A graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design, LYNN DAVISON
is one of the most highly regarded artists in the Southeast, known for her haunting figurative imagery. Her work has been featured in museums and public venues around the country.
Painting the human body so that a person’s attitude, grace and spirit are revealed begins with an understanding of what lies beneath the surface of the skin. Without being students of
anatomy, you will learn how to see that which is inside. Working with a live model, you will study the effects of light, color and texture, and how these elements work together to define what is on the outside.
Davison will perform a short demo with a blank canvas to illustrate this process.
