Hit the Road – Photo Field Trips
J. TOMAS LOPEZ is an internationally known photographer whose work is in many collections, including the Smithsonian and the International Museum of Photography.
2-day field trip:
February 15-16: Naples Botanical Garden and Big Cypress National Preserve**
(extended hours based on locations)
Spend Friday afternoon shooting photography (including macro) of floral, plant life and
nature at the Botanical Garden and drive to Big Cypress on Saturday for an early morning
shoot. You’ll photograph and discuss the Florida landscape (which will include stitching
panoramas), water and its reflections, trees and metaphoric composition.
Equipment: Digital camera, lenses, tripod and notepad. Comfortable shoes/boots,
sunscreen, bug repellant, food (water and snacks), rain gear for self and gear.
